According to a report in today’s Chicago Tribune, McDonald’s Corp. is set to roll out a line of premium coffee beverages — cappuccino and espresso, really — in the approximately 13,700 restaurants in the U.S. Word is the drinks won’t be as customizable as those offered by Starbucks, but it’s an interesting step nonetheless, I think. This is crazy-talk. According to several reports, actor/director Will Smith will direct a remake of the 1984 film The Karate Kid. Word is that Smith’s son, Jaden will play the role of Daniel Larusso, which was originally played by Ralph Macchio (he probably won’t be named Larusso).
