Oh, I didn't mean to imply that it was an unworthy story. A buddy of mine who interned at The Nation early on in his career had a bit of trouble finding work later on, given its liberal history. So I'm a bit wary.

Don't get me wrong, though - I'm a Nation reader - but I wouldn't want to paint myself into a corner this early into my editorial career. Yours was a brilliantly written story, and it's one everyone should be reading in the Tribune or Sun-Times.

The story of the Chicago 2016 bid is definitely one that needs to be told, so stay tuned for some exclusive content (or links to stories I'll be writing in the near future, hopefully. (But you know how magazine editorial calendars work, though.)

Either way, I hope you come back! Thanks for responding.

Thanks for picking up the piece, Daniel. I'm confused about what element of the magazine's history makes it unworthy, though. Could you share?
