Tidbit of the Day: McDonald’s to offer premium coffee
Posted by Daniel under Tidbit of the Day
According to a report in today’s Chicago Tribune, McDonald’s Corp. is set to roll out a line of premium coffee beverages — cappuccino and espresso, really — in the approximately 13,700 restaurants in the U.S.
Word is the drinks won’t be as customizable as those offered by Starbucks, but it’s an interesting step nonetheless, I think.
How about you? Would you go to the Golden Arches to buy your latte?

I tried a McDonald’s cappuccino at their coffee bar on George St. in Sydney, and thought it tasted like liquid styrofoam with a bitter aftertaste. Actually, it was like throwing up a little in your mouth, with a vague coffee flavor. So, no, I probably wouldn’t try it again.
