According to an article in yesterday’s USA Today, some high school students who are thinking of attending Virginia Tech University aren’t backing down from the Hokie lifestyle.

One student, Olivia Marshall, of Arlington, Va., said she was inspired by all of the postings on Facebook and MySpace and all of the people who reached out to the Virginia Tech community.

Good for you, Olivia. These shootings can happen anywhere - no school is safe. With all of the increased security and campus awareness at Virginia Tech, a shooting may be less likely to happen there.
