Interesting. Earlier today, United States Olympic Committee chairman Peter Ueberroth said Chicago 2016 had a long way to go in its bid. Philip Hersh of the Chicago Tribune reported Ueberroth met with Mayor Richard M. Daley today and voiced his displeasure. This is crazy-talk. According to several reports, actor/director Will Smith will direct a remake of the 1984 film The Karate Kid. Word is that Smith’s son, Jaden will play the role of Daniel Larusso, which was originally played by Ralph Macchio (he probably won’t be named Larusso).
