Tidbit of the Day: A-Rod’s wife packs up, leaves
I’ll never miss an opportunity to bash the New York Yankees, especially when the target is as juicy as Alex Rodriguez.
According to a gossip column in today’s New York Daily News, Rodriguez’s wife, Cynthia, packed up and left when he was out on the town with a buxom blond.
The News reports:
“In New […]

The Madrid bid committee still has to file […]

One plan, she said, was to raise bus and train fares to $7 during rush hour.
If the CTA did this, then any claims that Chicago is a “green” […]

Operation Gore Watch/Kudos: Editorial in University of Washington’s ‘Daily’ newspaper
Kudos to the editorial staff of the University of Washington’s “Daily.”
In yesterday’s paper, an editorial raised an interesting suggestion: How about Al Gore waits until 2012 to run for president, but on the Green Party ticket.
Citing Gore quotes from the Time Magazine story, “The Last Temptation of Al Gore”, it is obvious, the editorial […]

Chicago 2016 Update: Chicago 2016 security plans
I called in on the Chicago Access Network Television show, “Muhammad and Friends,” hosted by Munir Muhammad. (Don’t laugh. I was drawn in by the John Coltrane rendition of “My Favorite Things” during the break.)
Muhammad, appointed by Governor Rod Blagojevich to the Illinois Human Rights Commission in 2003, had Chicago Deputy Police Superintendent […]
